To say we are excited about our first Sketchbattle Pro event Pebble Beach is an understatement. The fact we are an official part of the week’s activities? Blessed! Details are below for the event tomorrow, Friday August 16th at 5:30pm PST at The Inn at Spanish Bay as presnted by HRE. Read below to see a list of our contestants.
The Sketchbattle series of events started 7 years ago in Detroit and if the past 17 events have proven anything, it is that the winner is never predictable. The contestants’ sketches will be judged on sketch quality and how successfully they meet the theme of each round within the 30 minute time frame. The winner takes home a prize package worth $2,500. Without further ado, we present the competitors!

The Online Contest Winner
Understanding that not every talented designer was in a position to cover the costs to compete in the Sketchbattle, the organizers and Pebble Beach Concours d’elegance hosted an online contest with the winner getting an all expenses paid trip to compete. Our winner, Sandor Boldog is from Tinton Falls, New Jersey and currently attends Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Boldog is a 5th term Automotive Design student that is excited to be apart of a quickly changing industry. He not only enjoys car “styling”, he enjoy problem solving and how the future of the interior space could affect the exterior of a car. Boldog also enjoys conceptualizing future infrastructures and how the automobile will shift not just 10 years out but 25-50 years from now. He seeks inspiration from fashion, entertainment, product design, fine art, and other industries with a belief that new ideas should be pulled outside the realm of the cars we know them today. Lastly Sandor enjoys sports and other hobbies such as surfing, mountain biking, football, soccer, basketball, and almost anything outdoors. His Instagram is @sand0rr and his portfolio can be found at https://www.behance.net/boldogs1ebce
