ROUND 1 – FALKEN TIRES
In the first round, 16 contestants will be sketching their concepts with a special emphasis on the off-road OR performance passion brought by Falken Tires. Falken Tires, known as a leader in high performance tire technology for cars, trucks, SUVs and crossovers, has successfully built a reputation as a full-line tire manufacturer with a long history of delivering high quality, high value products. The judges will determine the winners who move on to the second round by evaluating sketch quality and how well they adhered to the theme. We are grateful for Falken Tires coming on board and supporting the design community by being our partner at Sketchbattle 15.
ROUND 2 – TA YIH LIGHTING
TA YIH Industrial brings premium lighting technology to its entire range of products. The only major lamp supplier who produces large lamps like headlamps, small lamps like fog lamps, interior lamps and the newest category of lighting for autonomous vehicles combined with the latest technologies like RGB lighting is the presenter for Round 2. Contestants will sketch their concepts with special emphasis on the lighting, regardless of if it is interior or exterior. TA YIH is also a first-time partner and is rapidly expanding their “visibility” in the US market. After round 2 the judges will eliminate half the contestants for the championship round.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND – BASF
BASF is a long time partner of the Sketchbattle and they developed a special color for Sketchbattle 15: Aurora Gold. “Because the greatest sketchers deserve the best in color inspiration” It’s been said that color is a foundation to our experience of the world. AURORA GOLD visually connects the beauty of precious objects to a myriad of emotions. BASF’s high tech paint captures the feeling and creates a colorful, alluring glitter. From BASF’s material for the competitors, The balance between the physical and the virtual worlds give rise to this color. It focuses on the special aspect of precious metals to bring deep meaning and value to our essence and automotive heritage. The is linked to the texture, which shows a dynamic and virtual specular highlight which is brought about with a combination of brilliant effect flakes.

Project Beautiful – Inside and Out is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was created “to build confidence and inspire hope as individuals and families …in our community…. rebuild their lives”. This is especially important for women in shelters and similar situations. The charity provides some “niceties” in addition to the “necessities” (a roof over their heads, meals, clothing, etc.) which will help build confidence and inspire hope in these individuals when they need it most.
