Designer Night at the Races™ June California events presented by Lacks Enterprises are now open for registration. Over 11 years and 60+ events, the teams at Lacks Wheel Trim, Lacks Trim Systems and Plastic Plate have supported Competition, Camaraderie and Charity! To learn more about the events, please read on!
Last year, designers in Detroit and SoCal came together with our event partners to raise over $6,000! This year I hope we can break that record as we have a new cancer charity. For 2017 we will be working to benefit The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation to raise money for pediatric oncology. Many of us have children, and even if you don’t, you have to agree that childhood cancer is a most terrible thing. So hopefully we can all come together and do our part to help fight this devastating thing.
There have 2 ways for you to make donations. For the spring events we have a few charity t-shirts left – so make a $20 donation and this bad boy will be yours! We will also have a link where you can donate online once you register.
Or, make a $5 donation and we will give you a ticket (5 for $20) and at the end of the night we will have a drawing.
We always have cool prizes including one of these awesome Lego sets (VW Beetle, Camper, Ferrari F40, Mini Cooper or Caterham).
Finally, we wish to thank out generous partners who have done so much for the Design Community – namely Lacks Enterprises , Autodesk and Halpin Solutions. Halpin Solutions is a new addition to our “Team” who provides design and engineering services and technical staffing for automotive and aerospace product development. Without their awesome support we could not plan and organize these events. And since I always forget to mention what we do at AACS, you can read more about us here and even get a free download of our report on Exterior Lighting and Interior Electronic Trends.
As usual, Spring also means its time for the Designer Car Show. Bring something cool and we will award some silly prize to a car based on criteria we are not telling you about ahead of time. Every car has an equal chance of winning. (PS I finally have the trophies for last year’s winners).
