Color me a lucky guy! I get to travel to a few auto shows every year. I love nothing more that seeing the latest and greatest and debating with colleagues and experts the merits of each. Unfortunately my budget leaves a little something to be desired, to say nothing of my photographic skills. In those cases DaniPhotoDesign comes to the rescue. So sit back, have a glass of wine, and enjoy his talent like I do.
According to Citroen, the DS Divine Concept is a “vision of the future for the DS brand, combining sophistication with advanced technology” that provides a “modern take on French elegance.” Personally I am loving the louvers!
The Citroen C4 Cactus isn’t new, it was introduced before the show, but the Airflow 2.0L is. Utilizing a new engine and revised aero package, this concept achieves fuel consumption figure of 2.0L/100km (141 MPG for those Stateside). Just what we need here, a Bubble wrapped Citroen!
The Asterion is the first Lamborghini plug-in hybrid. Featuring 3 electric motors and 50km full electric range, this monster has a top speed of 320km/h and is officially called a “demonstrator”. Quick note to the Lambo PR Team….. I have a spare bedroom, please come to Michigan to demonstrate.
Perhaps the most anticipated car at the show was the new AMG GT from Mercedes. Spy shots and conjecture filled the months before the show and now we get to see the undisguised body. Dat Ass!
For a while the wheel size escalation seemed to be taking some time off. It is back with the 23″ on the Quartz Concept from Peugeot. Considering the scissor doors I am not sure this wasn’t meant for SEMA.
Not to be outdone by the Peugeot 2.0L concept, Renault brought a 1.0L Concept. Yes, the Eolab uses 100 technologies to achieve 282 MPG. Just don’t ask me how to pronounce the name.
There is no better way to end a group of car show pictures than with a Rolls DropTop.
Come back tomorrow to see the other curves from Paris!
